Good results after injection of Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, Perlane, Sculptra, Evolence and Botox depend entirely on the skill of the doctor who does the injection. Good results require proper injection technique and an understanding of facial aesthetics and facial aging changes. Be sure that you see before and after pictures of the patients that the doctor has actually done. Don’t rely on pictures in the brochures provided by companies that make the fillers and Botox.

New fractional laser skin resurfacing is effective but much safer than traditional CO2 resurfacing. The fractional laser resurfacing beam is broken up into many small beams so that the laser affects only small focused areas of the skin. Fractional laser resurfacing leaves skip areas on the skin that are left normal and undamaged. These untreated skin cells are able to rapidly heal the treated skin with new skin cells. The treated areas, called micro treatment zones are healed in 6 hours with the fractional Lux2940 Erbium laser on the Starlux laser. CO2 fractional lasers like the Fraxel Repair and Lumenis ActiveFX and DeepFX take a little longer, up to 48-72 hours.

Fractional lasers are also able to penetrate the skin into the dermis much deeper than flat beam techniques. Deeper penetration causes more effective new collagen production. This characteristic results in improved skin plumping and better skin texture.

Fractional laser skin resurfacing is better than old time flat beam laser resurfacing because skin healing is much quicker, and the risk of white skin, hypo pigmentation is much less. Below are before and after pictures of results of fractional laser skin resurfacing done for skin rejuvenation. I am showing before and after pictures of the Starlux, Fraxel Repair, ActiveFX, and DeepFX fractional laser skin resurfacing results below.

I can assure you that the before and after pictures of the laser liposuction patients that you see below are my own patients who had laser liposuction done by me. The laser liposuction method I use is the SlimLipo(TM) laser liposuction machine made by Palomar Medical. The benefits of laser liposuction can easily be seen in the before and after pictures below.

Traditionally, liposuction in an older patient would leave loose skin. This before and after result is truely remarkable considering the amount of fat and loose skin and the age of the patient.

Lumps, bumps and skin irregularities called contour deformities are one of the most common disappointments following traditional liposuction. Some studies show 20% of patients experience contour deformities after traditional liposuction done without the laser. In my experience the most remarkable result I have experienced using the new laser liposuction is that patients uniformly have smooth skin after laser liposuction. I believe that the fat dissolving properties of laser liuposuction enable me to smoothly and uniformly remove fat as opposed to the shearing and tearing forces used in traditional liposuction

Because I can direct the tiny laser fiber precisely into areas that need fat removal, I have had success treating patients who had contour deformities from a previous liposuction done without the laser.

In the before picture you can see outlined lumps and bumps called contour deformities that were left after a previous liposuction done elsewhere without the laser liposuction technique. Using the SlimLipo (TM) laser liposuction I was able to specifically melt the fat in the raised areas, and restore smooth skin to the abdominal wall.

Laser liposuction is a remarkable new technique that improves liposuction and liposculpture results by tightening skin as well as dissolving fat beneath the skin using a small laser fiber. Fat removal is much easier after the laser liposuction procedure making it less traumatic for the patient. A major benefit of the laser liposuction is the correction of lumps, bumps and contour deformities caused by a previous liposuction done without the laser. The before and after pictures above clearly show the remarkable results possible with this new laser liposuction technology.
